Description
This is the only Half Marathon in Batesville, AR. In its 8th year, this race is being held to honor the memory of Garrett Yeager beloved friend, son, and father. All proceeds will be donated in his memory to Special Olympics of Independence County and New Hope Refuge. New Hope Refuge is a Christ centered ministry where women with addictions can find a new life through Jesus Christ. Both these organization's mean a lot to the Yeager family and help many families throughout Arkansas.
With the course you get a little bit of everything. Everyone starts out in the prestigious Eagle Mountain neighborhood where the 5k will also finish. The Half Marathoners will make their way over to the beautiful campus of Lyon College, once at Lyon you will jump on the 3/4-mile trail section of the course, upon exiting the trail you will run the country roads leading back to the main highway to work your way back to Eagle Mountain.
Each participant will receive a finishers medal and race hoodie. Race registration will cut off on November 24th to be guaranteed a hoodie. Packet pickup will be race morning starting at 6:30 until 7:45.
